How did theatre happen to you?
I was doing my Masters in Sociology when somebody suggested that I act in plays because of my voice and good looks. I started enjoying theatre. I was working in Nashik. I then quit my job and came to Hyderabad. Since then I am in this field.
I have done my Masters in Sociology, have done a job at Dena Bank, and have done teaching too.

Wow! You have a varied knowledge. How does that help?
Everything helps a lot in performing better and understanding the problem at the root level. We understand, act and get into the character.

Why Hyderabad?
I was born and brought up here. When I quit my job at Nashik, I could only think of coming here. I want to make this city proud. Earlier there were people who used to tell us if there was a pass only then they would come. Today, people come and buy tickets and our shows run houseful. We have come a long way!

You are a versatile personality, goes without much ado. What do you think about “everyone trying to do everything.” If you see the social networking sites, every one is a photographer, writer, artiste.

As long as one is focused and committed then there is nothing wrong in doing what they like. Integrity and Resilience are important too. Working, relentlessly. We work continuously here. We don’t even realize how many hours we have been working sometimes.
